Chennai Trip

Recently i visited Chennai. Perhaps it was my last visit, atleast for the time being. People have been wondering, what draws me towards the city. Even i can't fathom. Perhaps i stayed there for sometime, that might be a reason. Here i present before you some of the best places in Chennai, that your Chennai trip (if it happens) should not miss:

1. Mahabalipuram: It is an hours ride from the city along the East Coast Road (ECR). The ride itself is pleasurable. Mahabalipuram is famous for its shore temple and its beach. There are several beach resorts lined up along the beach. It can also serve as a pit stop on a typical Chennai - Pondicherry trip.

2. Citi Center: Chennai has very few malls. But one of them, i find to be among the best i have seen in my life. The building has got a colonial feeling. It's never too crowded, close to the sea, and has a very aesthetic Inox multiplex within it.

3. Spencers Plaza: This is one of the oldest malls in India. It is huge. For several years, this used to be the only hangout place in the city. It is on the main trunk road, named as the Mount Road, or Anna Salai.

4. Thyagaraya  Nagar: Popularly known as the T Nagar, this locality is the ideal shopping destinations for women. It houses the best shops for purchasing Jewellery and Sarees.

5. Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur and Besant Nagar: These localities lies in the south of the city. They are a more greener part of the city. Besant Nagar is known for its beach, which is much cleaner than Marina Beach.
