Holi

Remember the times when your Hindi question paper would ask you to write an essay of 300 words?
It used to be so difficult, thinking of what to write to fill this quota. We could get to celebrate holi every year, so one could not find anything special about it, except wetting each other by Pichkaris.
Then I went to college. And then Chennai. 12 years went by. I had forgot that there used to be something called Holi in the month of March.

Come 2011...

Preparation:

1) a previous night's hangover
2) colors
3) bhang and beer
4) gujiyas, dahi vadas

The day started. I went to the Akme Harmony society along with a friend. We came downstairs, and realized that we had taken the colors, but forgot the water. We managed to get the water from the pantry in the society's community hall. But the water was used pretty soon. Another trip to the pantry did not seem viable.

Then happened something unexpected. The hose used for fire fighting was turned on. No more was an absence of a water tanker was felt. We became children along with the children around us.The absence of a DJ was made up by the wild song and dance sequence we indluged in.

We all had become sufficiently irrecognizable. Then the bhaang party started. Followed by dahi vadas, gujiyas, pizzas and finally beer.

I reached home, had a bath, and then...
What else???

I slept!!! :)
